Terms of service

These terms apply when you book a service, request a quote, or place an order with Fix My Aircon. By engaging us you agree to these terms.

Quotes and pricing

Prices shown on our website and price lists are inclusive of GST and are a guide. The final price for repair work is provided as a firm quote before any work begins. Where a part is needed, its cost is shown and approved before we fit it. Quotes are valid for the period stated, and may change if the scope of work changes once we're on site.

Bookings and access

We'll agree a time window with you. Please make sure we have safe access to the system and the work area. If we can't access the site at the agreed time, or a job is cancelled at short notice, a call-out or cancellation fee may apply.

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. For shop orders, placing an order is a request — we'll confirm stock and pricing and send a secure payment link before any payment is taken. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

Care plans (memberships)

Care plan members receive the inclusions listed for their plan: one annual service and clean (covering the number of units stated for the plan), member priority support, and a discount on repair labour. Discounts apply to labour only — parts are charged at our standard price. The 24/7 priority line is a member priority and fast call-back service; genuine emergencies are attended as soon as we reasonably can.

Annual service timing. Your included service is booked around your membership anniversary, or at a mutually agreed time once you have been a member for at least 60 days. Members who pay annually can have their first service booked from the start of their membership.

Minimum term & cancellation. Plans have a 12-month minimum term and renew automatically unless cancelled. After the minimum term you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of your current billing period. If you cancel within the minimum term after your annual service has been carried out, the balance of that membership year's fees becomes payable — this simply covers the service you have already received. Once delivered for a period, the annual service has been provided.

Fair limits. Plan benefits are limited to the inclusions stated for your plan. We may apply these limits, but will only ever exercise discretion in your favour — for example, waiving an early-exit amount or extending a benefit for a loyal customer. We never apply a harsher outcome than these published terms.

Our work and warranty

All aircon work is carried out under our applicable refrigerant and electrical licences, with full electrical work completed by our licensed electrical partner. Our workmanship and any parts we supply are covered as set out in our guarantee.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give us accurate information, keep the work area safe and accessible, and let us know of any known faults or hazards. We're not responsible for delays or issues caused by inaccurate information, pre-existing faults, or parts and units supplied by you or others.

Liability and your consumer rights

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is otherwise limited to re-supplying the service or the cost of doing so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. We may update them from time to time; the current version is the one published on this page.
